Born in Lugano, Switzerland, which is bordering Italy, Marco Trentin, an Italian, has gone for his culinary profession with a touch of delicate European style.
Professionally trained to be a chef, Marco has been in Italian restaurant business for more than 20 years in many different countries. From Miami to Phuke; from Geneva to New York; and this time from Shanghai to Beijing. In Shanghai, He was with the post-modernist Baci Restaurant in Fuxing Park, which has been a high-end Italian restaurant for the sociable ones.
As a chef, Marco makes not only traditional and contemporary Italian dishes, but also making his own pasta and creating desserts, something like spicy chocolate. He believes that a lovely dessert is a beautiful ending for a nice dinner. And till now he is still coming up with something new from time to time here in Beijing. |
